The fall is one of those confusing seasons where you’re not quite ready to let go of summer, but looking forward to the festive time of year that late fall/early winter can and will bring along.
So what are you supposed to do with your not-quite-covered toes and fingers for the fall? The answer is – whatever you want! With a few classic tips, the sky’s the limit for your fall mani/pedi sessions (in-salon or at-home).
Remember first of all that fall is a time of great color. Taking a few hints from Mother Nature this season can’t be a bad idea then, right?
Try matching the color of your nails to the changing trees as you go through fall – greens and yellows in the beginning, oranges and reds in the middle, and browns and burgundies at the end. Doing this can help you feel and stay festive while still having fun with it and showing off your eye for luscious color as well.
As far as acrylic nails go, many women decide to go in for a faux set of nails when the fall season hits, and this is okay! What’s important is to remember that you won’t be as active in the fall, so it may be okay (depending on your lifestyle) to go with a length that is a little longer than what you’re used to.
Another good idea is to take the deep, rich colors of the holiday season and get your tips in those colors when you get acrylics to keep with the season’s colors and feel.
